On Friday, 12th February, the highlight of the Swiss music scene will be held at the Hallenstadion in Zurich (the largest multifunctional arena in Switzerland). As in the previous eight editions, this year under the motto “Music To Life”, will be awarding the best national and international artists with the most important recognition and scope of the country.
For the first time in its history, the TV show will also be broadcast by RSI, with commentary by Gianluca Verga and Sebalter.
The Swiss Music Awards, on one hand offers the revelations a springboard to bring their music to a wider audience and, secondly, make a fitting tribute to the work of the most renowned musicians.
This year, the Bernese group Patent Ochsner is distinguished with three nominations. And for the first time this edition also includes a prize for the best songwriter. The level of the line-up of live SMA 2016 is also enriched by the presence of Dodo and 77 Bombay Street.
